I did my winterizing yesterday - Saturday 20th, everything seemed ok, however upon letting the engine warm up before I fogged it I noticed a noise from the lower portion when Idle 700 rpms, when 1000 or more it's gone.

Why do "some" old boats have LH steering? (at least my 1959 16' Crosby did)
Was there some govt spec that mandated that or just up to boat manuf?

I just had a 4.3L vortec re-man engine installed in my 1996 Four Winns 170 Horizon. The guy who did the work suspected my temp gage as being bad, he said he put two theromstats in and a know working intake temp sensor.
I've put 2.5 hours on this engine, 1st hour at 2000 rpm or below, 2nd hour...
