    Strong water flow from tell tale, but not from exhaust

    1980 merc 50 hp elec, long shaft, just bought it for 150.00, runs great but when connected to muffs, cold water sprays hard out of the tell tale but no water at all flowing out of the exhaust at lower unit/ prop. Thanks

    40'hp merc, kill wire question

    Older 40 hp merc elec. start, stopped running, I pulled the yellow/black wire from the switch box and it started and ran fine, touched it to the correct switch box terminal to kill it, so where is the problem, in the ignition switch at the control box, how do I fix it? Thanks

    1982, mercury 40 hp timing questions

    I got his motor for free in great shape, except it needs a stator and trigger, and the flywheel was taken off by the eight bolts and not at the hub so I don't know how to install it for the correct timing, the pointer is still in place, Also, I see the stator, held on with 2 allen head screws...
