I have a 2004 model Larson cabrio 260 with a Volvo penta 5.7 gxi f. The oil pan has rusted through ,just a few pin holes, but enough to make it look like a major leak. I was wondering if it would be possible to remove and replace the pan WITHOUT removing the engine from the boat.

I need to read my data plate on my Mercury inflatable to be able to order a new inflatable floor but it is corroded to the point where it is hard to read.
Is there a way to bring back the numbers under the corrosion on the aluminium plate?

I have a 5.7 gxi-f in a 26 ft Larson, the y pipe at the back of the engine has corroded through and is leaking water into the bilge at a great rate.
The workshop manual says the engine must come out to replace it, can it be done any other way?
