    motor wont start

    i have an 86 45hp mercury, when i first took the boat out it would only run about half speed and when it got hot and i turned it off it wouldn't start until it cooled off. i bought a new power pack and it would not run but about half speed. i messed with wires and the next time i took it out...

    45hp merc. runs awhile then wont start

    i have changed the power pack but the new one will not open all the way, the old one gets hot and then wont start. put the old one on and ran for 1 1/2hrs. then would not start. have tried to troubleshoot wiring but found nothing. any ideas? it is a 1986 model.
