    99 4.3gl will run in start but not the run position?

    Like the title says. The boat will run with the key on the start position but as soon as I put it in run it dies right away. I've changed the ignition fuel pump cap rotor kill with and fuel filter. Is it the alternator or is there a relay or something. Hidden I can't find Thank for the help

    4.3gl will start but wont run

    I have a 99 Larson with a 4.3gl that will start for a second but then die. Does it over and over again. I've changed fuel pump relay separator cap rotor and plugs. Is there anything I'm missing or can check. It appears to be getting plenty of fuel. Any help will be greatly appreciated Thx john

    As most of y'all already know the volvo penta fuel pump runs off the alternator. I really dislike this setup and wondering if anybody has converted theirs to where it runs off the ignition switch and if so how? If anybody knows that it can't be done then please let me know before I do some...

    knock in motor after overheating

    I've got a 99larson with 4.3gl it got hot once and then didn't want to start or crank for that matter. used some starting fluid and got it to start and put in trailer then got it home and same outcome. When it did start and run I had good oil pressure and water temp but now that its at home...

    I had to remove the two hoses on the crank pully to put belts on and now the boat is overheating. What would cause this.
