    7.5 hp Merc tiller, forward, reverse, no neutral

    My old Merc 7.5 tiller has the forward, neutral, reverse lever on the side. Yet when I put it neutral these days what I really get is forward. Forward position also gives forward. Reverse works. Any ideas? Also chokes down when in slow idle, but otherwise runs good. Any ideas on that one?

    jon boat repair cracked ribs

    Hi all, Im restoring a flat bottom 14 ft jon boat that has vertical cracks in both ribs just beyond the welds of the transom corner braces. I would greatly appreciate advice on the best way to repair this. Can I weld the cracks and all is good? Do I need to install a brace on each side that...
