    I am rebuilding a lower unit on a 1985 90hp Merc. I been trying to figure out which way the driveshaft bearing goes. I heard the tapered bearing has to go upside down, so this means the bearing would go on the driveshaft facing up then the race would sit ontop of that inside the LU? So would it...

    1970 135hp lower unit

    Will a 1970 135hp mercury lower unit fit my 1985 90hp mercury? I found a lower unit for cheap but it came of a 1970 135hp merc. just wondering if it will work. It looks the same in the pic. Thanks James

    What Year is my motor?

    I cant find the year. I was told a 1985 90hp. Hood says 90hp Mercury.The serial # is A176214 Its a mercury. Thanks James
