Just changed the impeller, and refilled the lower unit with Gear Oil. I ran it on muffs, and checked the oil at the drain plug and it is milky. I just bought the boat so I am not sure of the gear oil before I bought it. Wear could water be getting into the oil while only running on muffs in...
I was replacing the impeller on my lower unit, and misplaced the allen screw that goes under the trim tab. Can somebody tell me if what size to get for a replacement? I think it was a 5/16 allen? What diameter and length?
I have a 1986 Chris Craft with a 3.0. Engine idles around 700. When I give it some throttle, then go back to nuetral, it idles around 1,000. Any ideas?
