The displayed engine temperature has been a bit unstable recently, it usually sits @ 56 deg C or 133 deg F.
The temperature has been up to 80 C / 175 F a couple of times. The thermostat is the original from 2015 so I'm planning on replacing it.
The catalog shows two choices: 122 or 160 deg F, (...
2008 BF10D.
the maintenance schedule says to check and/or replace the internal engine anode.
When i google the engine anode, there are plenty showing up for sale.
However in the Honda parts catalog for the BF10D I can't see it anywhere, neither in the diagrams or lists of materials.
I guess...

The boat is equipped with 1 Suzuki Digital SMIS gauge. two alarm tones sounded at startup at sea yesterday, " Change oil alarm" was displayed in text.
After silencing the alarm, a small rectangular symbol remained showing "P oil"
I would have guessed that that the letter "P" would have...
This motor is a 2014 model with 190 hours on it. I have not inspected the plugs. How long can they be used before performance deteriorates?
The Suzuki owners manual only specifies " inspect every 12 months or 100 hours". There is no change interval mentioned.
The boat just seems a bit...
The "engine voltage" reported via the NMEA2000 network and displayed on the Suzuki multi fuction instrument & and the Garmin GPSmap fluctuates from about 14.4 - 14.8 over a period of 5-10 seconds. It's the fluctuation Im concerned about not the voltage value.
I've installed a Blue Sea Systems...

Hey folks,
I've never changed the oil on an F100 before and I want to take enough with me when I go up to the boat next time.

The screws are located fairly tight into the transom which makes it a bit difficult to drill out...

will it be ok to bend the gashed peice back to shape with a small adjustable spanner, or will this type of damage cause caviatation or vibration that will affect the prop shafts bearings for example.
I have a 2 stroke 40 hp DT40 suzuki outboard. There's a trim tab anode which looks pretty much brand new and a second anode on the transom clamp bracket which looks allmost new.
The anodes have probably been there a few years. Boat trips are only in saltwater, however the boat is allways...
