How I did it, lower control is the kicker. You can just see the troll master speed control STBD side behind wheel. Directly behind the helm is the sport pilot auto helm. An unbeatable combination of speed control and auto steering.

I bent mine but I think it will work if straight too. I made mine from some old SS rod and a couple of go kart tie rod ends. Much cheaper for me.

Yeah, I got a 25" kicker even though I only needed a 20". Reason being I expect to replace the boat in the next couple of years. So I figured a simple Aluminum riser would be cheaper than buying a new kicker when I make the change.
