Well, folks i just want to know if there is a test for the flywheel magnets , for strength. If there is a test for the fly wheel magnets , what is it and how is it done ?

To set the timing on my 96 ocean runner Johnson the clymer manual says to use the 404317 module to set the timing on this motor. Are there any aftermarket testers or equipment that do this?? Or, is there another method ? :confused:
I have an engine 1996 115 ocean runner that ran at 25 to 30 psi water pressure. Water was leaking in to the port lower cylinder but very little. The head was removed and a new " o " ring was fitted and the head reinstalled. The water pressure went higher to around 4o to 50 psi at 5200 rpm on...

Ok, fellows, how can ya get water in the lower unit and have pressure in the lower unit when the motor has been shut down for 16 + hours ? Is it the shift shaft seal the prop shaft seal or the drive shaft seal. The motor is a 1996 johnson ocean runner. :eek: :rolleyes:

I have a 115hp mariner 1983 model inline six cylinder that has 3 bad pistons --stuck rings--and looks and though a couple of needle bearing have gone through the combustion chamber. Purchased the unit used but it had good compression. Question is where could have the bearing come from. :eek:
