    Anyone had issues removing a lower unit from an older model?? I have a 1983 35hp rude, dropping the lower unit to check on the water pump. I have the Seloc manual for this motor, disconnected the shift linkage and removed the 4 bolts and 1 nut on top the cavitation plate... Nothing, almost seems...

    Control hook-ups?

    I've got a 1983 Evinrude 35hp. With the setup I have, how do I connect the controls to the motor? I'm pretty sure on the steering... I was going to mount the control bar through the splashwell with a boot, and if I'm correct the control arm bolts through the center hole on the front crosscar...
