    Gear oil in bellows

    I have a 1979 Mark Twain with a 230HP and early Alpha 1 outdrive. I pulled the outdrive and the bellows is full of gear oil. No water in bellows. The boots are newer,I am puting a motor in and is this norm or is a seal gone bad in the upper unit .Thanks again

    Alpha 1 lower unit install

    I am installing the lower unit back to the upper unit. How do I aligin the splines for the shifter. I may have have moved the upper part when cleaning it. Not sure do I put the lower in gear then set the upper pointing at the transom. Thanks again

    We have a 1985 Sea Ray, Sundancer, with twin 260HP 350's, with Alpha1 1/5 gear ratio outdrives. We replaced the zincs 9 months ago, and painted the outdrives with antifouling paint. took boat out, and major corrosion of both outdrives, and cracking of the casings, the zincs had erroded away...

    Oil Pan ?

    I have a remained 260 HP 4 bolt main. Three of the main bearing bolts have long studs is this for a windage tray. My old motor the windage tray is welded to the oil pan. The old pan hits these long studs and will not work.Do I need an oil pan with a seperate windage tray? Where can I find one...
