I have a mercury 25hp outboard. I replaced the seal on the nut that holds all of the prop gearing in place. I have tightened the nut until it is snug but I am still getting a seep of oil from it. What are the torque specs for it?
I have a 25hp mercury outboard that has been sitting for about 10 years. It was serviced every year prior to that. I know that I will need to rebuild the carb and change the lower end oil but what else should I do before attempting to start using it again?
