So im going to look at a boat tomorrow and the guy said the starter isnt working. The question is can I take the starter off my johnson 50 hp and use it to start up the 48 SPL?
I have no spark on one cylinder. Both cylinders have good compression. I have a new Spark plug, new plug wire, new power pack, and new coil. I have it down to stator or trigger.
I have Ohm tested them both being:
stator: (wires from stator)
Brown to brown/yellow is suppose to be 450-550
orange...
Im not getting spark to one of the spark plugs. I replaced the coil, spark plug, plug wire, the power pack and now what. Ive been reading every thread I can on which one it can be. My battery also dies every time I go out.
