Hi I was trying to get the shift cables to work right with ajustments The top shift cable will pull in when you put the control arm into forward should the shift cable push back out when you put the control arm into reverse with out the cable being hooked up thank you for youre time

I picked up this boat last week. I went to start it if fired up in reverse with controls in neutral postion and died right afterwords. also when I turn the prop clockwise it makes a clicking nose it about 1/2 rotation is this normal for this electric drive motor I beleive the motor to be 1969.
