My bass tracker came with a very very basic finder which quit working.
So I finally ordered the new one. A Humminbird 598ci HD SI. By ordering each piece separately It was only $508 ihncluding shipping. And since I just sold the old Jon boat for $500 my wallet is only $8 lighter.

I pulled the side console off and unless it's hidden the motor does not have a connector for connecting smartcraft components.
So unless I can figure out where this connects i won't be installing anything
Which is odd since the quicksilver catalog...
According to the quicksilver catalog the SC1000 should work on 30-60hp 4 strokes. But can't find documentation on what data it will display

I was under the console today wiring in a horn and came across four unused wires in the engine harness. All four had male spade terminals and were heat shrinked to protect the wire ends Pretty normal for unused wires from the factory.

Just got this on a bass tracker and do not have an operators manual. Could someone answer a few questions.
It is a 2010 console steer.
What is the little red light on the front? Lights on start up then goes out after a few seconds. Thinking it is oil pressure but not sure.

I think I know the answer but figured I'd ask any way to be sure.
I finally got the hard gray attwood line off the new to me pontoon. The hose bulb and engine end fitting were 5/16.
The fitting at the pontoon gas tank is 3/8. That kind of makes since since the boat is rated up to 75 hp.
But...
My recently acquired pontoon has a built in tank. The fuel line from the tank to motor is grey, stiff and marked attwood Canada no other markings. I do know it is 5/16.
So any way I spent last night reading many opinions on fuel line, everything from "only gray line is approved for outboards"...
