14'classic wood runabout cavitates during high speed turns. I am running a short shaft 1960 evenrude Lark II 40hp with a Whale tail.
Any suggestions?
Is there a way to run a flush kit off of my hose or do I need to always fill up a barrel to run the engine?
Is the water intake the small screen located just above the cavitation plate or is it within the housing above?
I recently installed a new ignition switch. I have power going to it and one wire going to the solenoid. The engine cranks fine but how do I set up a kill-switch? Sould there be a wire running to ground off the ingniton switch?
This engine was fully tuned at a marina 2 years ago and has not been run since. I cannot seem to get spark. NEW:Coils, Points, Condensers, Wires, Plugs. I have detached the wiring harnes and cranked it by hand and I have also tried detaching the wires from the cut out switch. Still nothing...
