Got a 2008 90HP Merc Optimax. Have a continuous warning upon cranking. Am leaning towards oil pump. Does anyone know the voltage applied to the electric oil pump?
Decided to take the boat out today and upon startup an alarm started to buzz continuously. Turned engine off a few times and still buzzing. Was told it could be oil alarm but looking at my level I was at 3/4 full. Any ideas?
Engine idles great. Engine throttles up with water cups on but lacks power under load. Engine will try to throttle up but dies back down and throttle has to be brought back to idle to keep from dying out. I have replaced the plugs, water pump and rebuilt the carb. The engine has low compression...
Have a 1982 Evinrude 35 HP motor that chokes down and tries to die upon acceleration. Idles fine in and out of water.....revs fine with water ears on. But under load it gives a brief surge and chokes out. Replaced plugs and adjusted linkages. Any further info would be great. :confused:
