I bought the round water cuff to run water thru the motor while it's out of the water, and did not find an intake where I was expected. There is a small square inlet/outlet? on one side, right in the corner the horizontal fin. Is that the intake? Do I need the rectangular cuff?
Re: Where's the water inlet on a '95 8hp Evinrude?
The water intake is the screen above the prop. You cannot use muffs.
Square inlet/outlet ??? Do you have the "sail" version ( not sure if they still called them Yachtwin in 1995) E8SRLEOD ?
They have square exhaust outlets below a second AV plate and the normal outlet above the prop is plugged.
Specially built for use on a sail-boat ... special prop too.

Similar to this, indicated by the pencil
Thanks Vic,
I found the screen above the prop!
There is a square Outlet (exhaust?) very similar to what your pencil pointed out, but on the other side, just above of the (1) AV plate.
No way to flush the the motor without dropping it into a tub, right?
