Where can I find a new wiring harness for a 1995 Evinrude 9.9 remote version?
I am having some intermittent issues and I think it's because the previous owner of this motor used butt connectors everywhere and the wires are pretty corroded and in some cases the housings are cut and such.. I just don't trust any of it. But I can't find a wiring harness anywhere online. I need one that runs from my remote starter switch/electric choke back to the motor, the entire length of the boat is suspect to me. Do you guys have any idea where I can find this part, or is it something I could get from a dealership maybe?

I did an online chat with one of the companies and the guy just kept saying "That is the motor cable" over and over. I believe that it replaces all of the wiring that's attached directly to the motor, and has bullet plugs or terminals to connect your remote starter switch to as well, but what about the wiring that runs from the switch to the motor cable? Is that normally included when you buy a remote start kit? I could just replace all the wires with something from the parts house and solder them, but then they wouldn't be color coded and that would suck. I can't get my motor started (or at least keep it running) and it's an intermittent issue, so I'm thinking my wiring is to blame. I am only getting 10.5 volts to my solid purple (accessory/ignition) wire when I am trying to crank the motor, but I am getting 12 volts to the hot pole of the starter switch so I'm wondering if the switch may be to blame or not. I need to test all of the terminals to make sure. I was running out on the water and all of the sudden the motor bogged down and died and wouldn't restart, frustrating!
