    Default What should base timing be for 70HP 1978 Johnson?

    My Seloc book says to set the timing at 3 degrees ATC. My flyweel only goes to zero. What the???? The appendix in that same book says set time to zero degrees. Which is correct?

    Yo Scott,I've got a Clymers manual and for the 1978 70 hp.Evinrude for setting sync and link it sez 17 deg.BTDC @ 46-5000 rpm and the throttle pick @ TDC. It also explains how to find TDC.g/luck & c/6Hooty
