    Default Water Pump Repair/Replacement, 1990 Johnson 25 hp TJ25ELESE : Parts needed

    When you do a Water Pump repair on this (or any other engine) do you need to order a Gearcase Seal Kit or is just the Water Pump Kit required?

    You will not need a gear case seal kit. A water pump replacement is actually above the gear case. I recommend getting a whole water pump repair kit, they are worth it. Also look into getting yourself a OEM manual for your motor. Used manuals for about half price can be found on ebay.
