vintage evinrude cooling
i have a 1962 evinrude 5.5 hp fisherman, motor runs great, but i dont think its cooling, how do i tell if its over heating, dont have much water comming out of exhaust, the powerhead is hot to touch, but it has new waterpump, do these old motors have a constant stream of water or just a drop periodically?

Re: vintage evinrude cooling
IF the powerhead is too hot to touch, then it is overheating.

There should be a goodly amount of water blowing out in big goblets with the exhaust relief
