you may have a loose wire on the switch in the starting circut..or maybe blew the fuse on the engine...if it wont crank at all ..

Do you have a test light or volt meter, start at the battery and check the electrical system.
You do have it in neutral don't you?
Do you have a kill switch, is it in the correct position?

what motor we talkin bout here?

check the 20 amp fuse, in an inline fuse holder on a red wire a few inches to the engine side of the main wiring harness plug.

89.6% of all electrical problems on boats are caused by corrosion/loose connections.

remove, clean and reattach all the cables from battery to solenoid to starter. By "remove" I mean "pull everything off a there, don't just eyeball it and call it clean". By "clean" I mean "make it shine"; hint: sandpaper. By "reattach" I mean "Tight! Tight! Tight!"

Emergency kill switch is unrelated to the starter circuit -- if it's engaged the motor will spin like crazy without ever starting.
    It's all about the tools.

"If the ocean is glass flat and the sun is shining, you open up the special memory compartment of your brain and start recording the smells, sounds, sights and feelings." -- Philster

"Poets talk about 'spots of time,' but it is really fishermen who experience eternity compressed into a moment. No one can tell what a spot of time is until suddenly the whole world is a fish and the fish is gone. I shall remember that son of a b**** forever." -- N. Maclean
