replaced water pump on 81 115 evinrude

I have just replaced the water pump on an 81 115 evinrude and still there is no water coming out of the pee hole what could i do next?

I the motor overheating? Did the old impeller come apart? If it did, you can force water or compressed air into the water tube (you'll have to drop the LU to do that) or the tell tale may just have debris in it. Sometimes it can be cleared with a piece of heavy mono or weed wacker line.

A straightened out paper clip is usually handier. Unlplug the line at the point where it come out of the block. Got water there?

I found that thier was a peice of debri in the hose leading from the motor to the pee hole and after I got that cleared it started to pump out water again thanks for the help.
