Rebuild on a 1990 60hp Johnson?!?!?!?!?

Im wanting some opinions on this. Can a couple of guys who are mechanically inclined rebuild this motor with a manual even without any experience with these 2 stroke engines. A compression test shows a 95, 70, 85 reading on the three cylinders. If I get down to it and the powerhead is the problem is rebuilding on my own feasible? Of course with a little help from a local machine shop!

Sure, make sure you have a factory manual.
Before you remove the powerhead, I would pull the head and check the head gasket and make sure the head is flat. With the head off you can look at the cylinders and pistons to see if you have any major damage.
