No start, 1985 8hp Johnson

Just got this motor, was told it gets flooded easy. I put new plugs is but no change. When rolling over it doesn't even seem like it wants to start. Any help is appreciated!

Spark and compression OK?
Will it try and start if you squirt some fuel mixture into the carb?

do a spark check on it....but make sure to ground both plugs. your problem is most likely carb related. if you have spark to both plugs and fuel to the carb, get a kit, clean the carb.
