Neutral safety Switch for a 1973 evinrude 50 hp

Can any one advise where I might be able to find a neutral safety switch for a 1973 evinrude control box for a 50 hp. The motor will start if you by pass the switch. If this is part is not available what would be a recommendation for repalcing the old control box to something newer?

a picture of your control will help. the 73 controls did not have a neutral safety switch.

The neutral safety switch on the standard 1973 side mounted remote control is shown as #68 (part # 385659) in the diagram. Most 1973 engines also had a neutral safety on the engine. Because of the redundancy, the engine switch was eliminated on more recent remote models. http://evinrude.cust.shopatron.com/
