Hello...I need to order parts for my Johnson 150 hp outboard but I don't have the model number.
The sticker with the model & serial number is gone off the clamp bracket, and I have looked all around the engine for a suitable reference without success.
All I can get is a reference from a small nickel sized silver disk , with the number 03881623.
Is it possible to derive the model number from this reference?
post some pictures of the motor some one might reconize it sometimes that's the only way i had to do that and some one said that might be a 1982 25hp johnson looked up the year it end up being a 1981 so at least it gets you started

Hello All,
Thanks for your responses.
I have been told the engine is a 1996 version, but I couldn't swear on it.
Here are some images I have of it. Maybe this might shed some light on the actual model number and year.
Is there anywhere else on the actual engine that the model number might be printed/marked?
That number looks to be the serial number, but it doesn't go anywhere. Likely it's an older OMC number and the new owner (Bombardier) may not keep track of it anymore. The cowling is from a 1994 FastStrike Johnson. That exact cowling is in their sales brochure for that year. Would be nice if the cowling were original to the engine-then you'd know for sure. The FastStrike engine is the high perf 150 engine.
