I just got a 1963 johnson 40 hp big twin. Problem is when I got it all the fuel lines were missing. Iv'e looked everywhere for a pic or skematic but have had no luck. I was wondering if anyone can tell me where everything goes. thanks

That motor is pretty simple. Can you locate the fuel pump? it has a glass sediment bowl, and the hoses are marked in and out, in the casting of the fuel pump.
So the fuel line runs from the quick connect fitting on the lower cowling, to the inlet to the fuel pump. Another hose runs from the outlet of the fuel pump to the carb. A pulse line runs from the fuel pump to the side of the motor, where there is a brass nipple on the crankcase.

That it the water heated choke!
There should be a nipple on the head for the 5/16" hose that is routed along the base of the pull starter to the top nipple of the choke housing.
The lower fitting on the choke gets a hose routed to the lower exhaust housing on the same side of the engine below the cut out switch.
Also there is a 5/16" vacuum line that attaches to the side of the choke housing and to the intake manifold on the starter side of the carb.
Then there is a 3/16" hose fitting below that on the intake that connects to the cut out switch.
