About LinkBacksI need some help with a problem on my just prchased 1979 johnson. Runs great in the driveway but when I get in the water she only goes up to 2000 rpms at full throttle. Compression test was good on all three cylinders. Spark plugs are new but getting no spark on top and bottom plugs. I tried switching the coil wires around and got spark on bottom plug. Can someone help?

Try swapping coils and see if the problem follows...

I was gonna do that but all the coils are hooked to one outlet
