Johnson water pump woes
Replaced my 40 hp water pump, plate and housing last summer and it ran fine for the first 3 times out in the river, but on the 4th day after running for 10-15 minutes it stopped peeing water. I can blow through the tube it starts to pee again but stops after a few minutes. It never overheats and the pump is still in good shape. Paranoid? Normal? Something wrong? I'm a rookie-please help...J-

No biggie. Just a chunk of something floating around in the pee hose. You'll need to pop it off at either end and blow it out.

Yeah...just remove the nipple that the pee hose is connected to and let the water blow out the hole for a few minutes. Should cure the problem.
When in doubt...use the manual

When you reconnect the hoses make sure you use marine tie wraps to secure.
