I have 17 feet boat - Baja Sport, with johnson outboard 140. sometimes it fails to start, does not meter it`s warm or cold and if somehow i start it, the boat has an acceleration problems, of course it is an engine problem i guess. it`s hardly comes out of the water and needs too much time to do it and to put the bow down but it happens only before 3000rpms, once it`s on plane it works perfect, puts 6200rpms. one more thing the engine does not work in neutral, it turns off.
compression is good.
