    Default johnson 150 fast strike stalling

    I have a 96 150 fast strike and when i hit WOT it will slow to a dead stop. It doesnt seem to be getting hot, no alarm and it is peeing normal. It also wont start until it sits for a minute. help

    Sounds to me like the old vodoo ignition problem. The way most where fixed was with a power pack and sensor. The sheath color on your power pack and stator also makes a difference. Blue and Blue or Blue and Black will go together but Grey sleeve only works with grey sleeve. Best bet is buy factory parts to make sure the problem gets fixed right. The power pack is on the back of the the engine under the coils and the sensor is under the encoder wheel on top of the crank. Good LuckTom
