Default johnson 150 fast strike rectifier

Is there away to tell if the rectifier is bad and the stater? Iam only getting 12.4 volts when running.

Measure AC voltage across the yellow pair to the regulator with engine at a fast idle. If, => 30 VAC, stator is working OK for charging and likely the rectifier is bad as long as all wiring is intact and terminations are tight and clean. If you don't get the voltage from the stator, it could be bad. You can verify by doing resistance checks covered in the shop manual.
