Impeller issues?? 15 hp 4 stroke Evinrude

I am not getting any water coming out of my spout that should be ejecting water when running my motor with the muffs hooked up to it full stream of water from hose.

As suggested, by Bankerjohn in another post, I put a length of trim wire from my weedeater in the spout and pushed and prodded around, but to no avail. I then figured I would drop the lower end and take a look at the impeller, but was unable to get the bottom end off after removing the 6 bolts that seem to keep it tightened to the top part of the motor. Any ideas or suggestions here folks?

Before you remove the 6 bolts, you need to:

• Remove shift connector clip from shift lever.
• Remove shift connector from shift lever. Unscrew connector from shift rod.

If you're going to tackle this kind of project, you really need to purchase a factory service manual ... it's worth its weight in gold!
