how far below the bottom of the boat should the prop be
I have a 4hp Johnson the center of the prop is about 12" below transom bottom. I would like o raise it how I determine the proper depth

The big flat plate (cavitation plate) above the prop should be equal to or slightly higher that the bottom of the boat.
