how do i replace the water pump on a 1973 115 evinrude????

ok i have a 1973 evinrude 115 hp and the water pump finaly died i have found all the bolts on the lower end and got it to break free but it wont come all the way down can any one help me out???

You need to disconnect the shift rod linkage.

Dont take this wrong, But

If your doing it with out a manual, then your doing it WRONG!!!!

You really need to read how to do it, then take the book with you to refference while you do it.

The shift rod needs to be disconnected from under the carburetors.

You loosen the screw that forms the fulcrum of the bellcrank and spread the ends of the bellcrank arms to release the pin. Click the thumbnail, please.
