About LinkBacksI have a 40 HP VRO Evinrude motor that is missing the Model # and Serial Number. Is there any way from the components on the engine to tell me anything?

Help! Motor Id tag missing! How else can I find what year my motor is?

You may also find a nickel-sized aluminum welch plug on your engine block with the identifying numbers stamped into it.
