help finding water pump kit for evinrude

I have a running (but new to me) 40 hp evenrude big twin Electric Start
Model 405525
Serial e02383
(1965 i think?)

I am looking to replace the water pump before winterizing it. I cant find a water pump kit for this engine at iboats.com or anywhere else. Any suggestions on where to look? Any sites that provide good pricing would be great.

Also, any recommendations on other parts that I should check/replace? I am having a moonlighting mechanic look at the engine and I would rather have parts on hand for him then schedule several visits.

What tashasdaddy said, the Sierra impeller is 18-3083 from iboats. If you are looking for a complete water pump kit, it is part number 381577 from an Evinrude dealer. OR, you can buy most parts for your motor directly from BRP's website http://shop.evinrude.com/ The website only goes back to 1968 but most parts are the same as your 1965.

BTW, isn't the last "5" in the model number you gave actually a letter?

thanks for the help. I will double check my model number it could be a 5 or perhaps an "s"

I guess my follow up question would be besides a new water pump, sparkplugs and winterization, is there anything else I should do to this engine to make sure it is in tip top shape. The engine is new to me and I have only had it running on the lake for about 20 minutes before purchasing.
