I was thinking of flushing my motor with a automotive antifreeze to protect it after normal flushing to stop corrosion during long storage periods or would saltaway do the same thing, what do you guys think.

If you want to use anything, use saltaway. Its designed for that purpose. I only use water., at least 15 minutes of flushing.
Use Saltaway...auto AF meant for iron blocks, and on aluminum motorcycle blocks, need something special for alum..
William, Although modern antifreeze is designed to use in cars with aluminum blocks, it is not necessary to use this on your outboard. First of all it will be hard to get the antifreeze to infiltrate every part of the outboard, without running the motor in a barrel full if it. Secondly, and most importantly, the outboard blocks are made to be corrosion resistant, and simply do not require anything other than a fresh water flush.
3rd ly how are you going to do it, with out having antifreeze all over the ground, poluting the soil, and taking a chance of killing the neighborhood dogs.
