    Default evinrude year? fuel ratio?

    i got this motor from my neighbor. i think it is a 1965. 6hp fisherman it looks to be in good condition he acted like i should have no trouble getting it going but wanted to check the fuel ratio. any info is appreciated!

    If it is in fact a 1965 motor, the fuel/oil ratio is 50:1 using 87 US Octane gasoline and TC-W3 rated oil.

    The model number should be on the welch plug on the engine block.

    That is a 1965 motor. The parts are the same as the Johnson for that year except for the paint and engine cover: http://www.marineengine.com/parts/vi...8057200001.htm
