    Default Evinrude Sportsman, #4412-01109

    I'm looking for the background for this motor, year hp etc. I'm looking for manuals etc. to refirbish it and get it running. It was a friend of mines motor and he passed away recently. Thank you for any help you can offer

    By the model number 4412, your motor would be a 1946 2hp, serial number 01109.

    4412 2HP 1946. You will find www.aomci.org helpful in finding parts, donor motor, etc. Manuals (parts, operating, shop) are all available from outboardbooks.com. Any other brand than J/E/Elto and you would have lots of trouble finding anything.
