how do you check a fuel pump that is not installed on the motor yet ?
i rebuilt it and want to get rid of the vro thats currently on it.
its got three connections on it, fuel supply, out to carbs, and vac/pressure from the crankcase.
any help would be great

Year and size of engine?.....did you rebuild the fuel side of the vro or are you trying to change out to the older conventional pump? if the fuel side of the VRO is working I'd leave it and just cap the oil side and jumper out the oil switch, there are plenty of theads here with that instruction !....but testing a fuel pump! really don't know!!!may try using a primer bulb on the vacuum port of pump, using the suction end of bulb, small(not complete) rapid pumps, but the back flow valve in the bulb may hinder that thought, may may need a air hole in the output side! just a thought any way!
