Evinrude 8hp fuel pump diagram

The boat engine had been sitting for 2 years and the carburetor was full of lacquer. Got the carburetor refill kit, took lots of pictures (digital cameras are perfect for this) and took the carburetor apart, cleaned it and put it back together. The motor started running again but couldn't keep it running without the choke out a bit despite playing with the adjustments. First question, any idea why?Out of sheer frustration decided to take the fuel pump apart. Unfortunately wasn't as careful this time and it kinda came apart in my hands. Thankfully, no parts were lost. A diagram of the fuel pump or any clues on how to put this durn thing back together would be greatly appreciated.Sanjay Nastasnasta@builtonline.com

What year, and model is this engine?

It's a 1996 Yachtmaster 8 horsepower. The part number on the fuel pump appears to be 312631
