Default Evinrude 6502 (1965 6hp) need part number for "low speed knob"

I went fishing yesterday and the low speed knob fell of my Evinrude while I was towing the boat to the river.

My service manual does not have part numbers, but references the part as a "low speed knob"...and BRP/ marineengine, etc (every online parts manual I've found) only go back as far as 1968.

Google'ing and searching the forums here hasn't yielded a part number yet either.

If someone could spare a moment to look at their parts manual I would be most grateful.

Take a look here, page 4 item #55, does that look like what you need?

205483 is the low speed knob for a '66 E6hp but I do not have the manuals for the '65. I assume they're the same but don,t know it for a fact.

On anything older than 1968 you have to go by the year, not model number. Select outboard parts under the Boat engine parts. Then select Johnson outboards, then select the model year and follow the promps to get to where you need to go. Some models are not listed but you can select a different model to get a parts breakdown that should work.
