connecting rod bearing 1979 55 hp evinrude

Hi everybody Iam doing an engine rebuild on this engine

Just wondering if you can use a cage baring on a floating wrist pin for the connecting rod?
The model # is a 55974c

By the parts breakdown it looks like it is a caged bearing on the wrist pin.

Yes as long as its a 3/4 dia wrist pin, the aftermarket part # is wp13c...

I believe they recommend the newer style with the loose needles and the guide washers at the ends. I've seen some of those older style ones come apart and destroy a motor...
