Changing Water Pump 150 Evinrude

Hello all,

I'm about to change the water pump assy. on my outboard for the first time. I feel comfortable with everything except for the gear link. I have heard that if you get it out of it's original position, that it will really screw things up.. Also, I think I have found the bolt that disconnects the gear link below the lowest carb., but not 100%. If anyone has a pic of it, I would really appreciate it, and any tips would be greatly appreciated! Thanks again!

Year? On mine you pull a pin and slide it to dis-engage the shift pin.
