    Default Broke vent screw on gas tank

    I broke the vent screw on the gas cap on my plastic fuel tank and was wandering will it affect the flow of fuel to my motor.Thanks

    Depends if the vent is open or closed. If its closed then after a short time the engine will die due to fuel starvation.
    If its open the engine will run Ok but you'll have an open vent on the tank all the time when its not in use.

    Thanks...It is open,I have a new cap ordered but i was just curious about if it would affect anything.
